On Monday, Strathmore Seniors traveled to Alyth for our re-arranged match. The first match was cancelled because of Storm Floris. Storm Amy nearly caused the postponement of Mondays match!
Like other courses throughout the UK, Alyth sustained some storm damage. This meant that some holes were closed. However, it was agreed by both sides that the match would be played over holes 1-10 17&18, and 1-2, 8, 17&18. 17 holes in total.
It must have been a favourable layout for Strathmore as we ran out 4-2 winners!
Thanks to all who played at Alyth, and all those that have played in the Seniors Matches throughout the season. Your support is essential in keeping these matches on our fixture book.
Also, a special thank you to Chris for successfully organising this seasons matches and also ensuring that the same matches will be played again next season. John Mill is taking over from Chris. So, good luck John, I’m sure you will do a great job.
Ian Cameron.
