Results: John Brand carded an excellent 43 points to take first place on what turned out to be a warm, sunny morning. Ernie Wastell came in second with 40 points ahead of the quartet of Ian Scott, Ken MacLeod, George Dolby and Bob Greig on 37 points.

Play moved along at a good pace with all groups home ahead of the target three and a half hours.

Aberfeldy Match - Home 7th August

I will be posting the Entry sheet for the scheduled Home match with Aberfeldy (7th August; 1pm tee) before Thursday's Scramble.

As the away match had to be scratched due to lack of numbers can all interested in not letting this fixture disappear from our annual schedule put their names up as soon as possible.

I will close the list on Friday 1st August.

On a bright and blustery day three teams carde net 62's with another 3 only 1shot back.
On a count back 1st place went to Dave Kerr, Alex Sutherland and David Dawson with a net back 9 of 30 against Rob Kidd, Pat Duffy and James Ross (31) and Ian Strachan, Mel Kidd and Gordon Ewen (32). Congrat's to all of you.

Nick Farr Trophy - Rescheduled

Due to flooding of the course today the July Medal and Nick Farr Trophy were cancelled.

Due to the popularity of this particular competition it has been decided to reschedule the Nick Farr Trophy for the 14th of August alongside the August Medal. As with its original scheduling the competition will be played from the Yellow Tees.

Evening the Score with Arbroath, Thursday 3rd July

Three Reserves were drafted into the team to meet Arbroath on home territory and 'didn't they do well'?

On what turned out to be a splendid day for golf Strathmore got the upper hand and evened this year's score with a fine 4:2 victory.

Compliments were received from the visitors on the condition of the course and especially the greens.

Well done Team Strathmore (Players, Greenstaff and Club House) for a great all round result.
