Seniors' Singles and Doubles Knock out

The above competitions will be drawn on Thursday after the April Medal so please ensure that if you want to play that you have your name on the entry sheets and have paid your money as instructed.

To date there appear to be about 18 names on both sheets but payments made only by 10 players in each instance.

If you have put your name on the board and your name DOES NOT appear in the list below please put your money in a brown envelope, mark it clearly with your NAME,SENIORS KNOCK OUT SINGLES and/or DOUBLES, AMOUNT ENCLOSED and drop it in the scorer's box by the computer terminal.

Spring has Sprung

Next week sees the start of the 2009 Golfing Season and we start off with the April Medal next Thursday. The entry sheet is up on the board so all seniors wanting to play should get their names on the sheet before mid day Tuesday 31st March. Tee times will be posted on Tuesday evening in ascending order of handicap so no scope for late entrants.

Play will be from the medal tees and I am offering to put the buggy shuttle on for the 5th hole tee should anyone indicate their desire for this when putting their name down. Simply write a 'B' in brackets after your name. If laid on others in the competition can use the facility which may speed up play just a little.

Entry Fee 50p (compulsory)
Sweep GBP1.00 (voluntary)

NOTICE BOARD - SEASON '09

Notices are now up for names to play in the first two MATCHES of the season against Alyth and Glenisla (both away). We had 30 members representing the club last year and are looking for as many if not more over the course of 2009.

Sign up for the SUMMER KNOCK OUTS, singles and doubles. The sheets are up until the 2nd of April when the draw will be made.

Please note this year that when you put your name on the list you put your money in an envelope in the scorer's box. Any name listed for which no envelope is received will be scrubbed from the draw.

AWAY DAY - August the 18th - Ballater - GBP 35.00, (Deposit GBP 10.00 cheque to Strathmore Golf Club when you put your name up). It was a great day last year at Edzell, it should be equally good this year at BALLATER.
