Results for the Senior Texas Scramble on Thursday 29th June 2023

27 players booked and 27 players played in 9 teams of 3 players.

Obviously the heavy shower that we had did not affect the scoring as all 9 teams beat par, with scores from ranging from 60.88 to 68.65.

6 of the 9 teams scored a total of 9 Two's and despite the winning team not getting a Two, they still won!

The winning team were - Brian Forrest, Stewart Baillie and Joe Wilson winning £6.00 each.

The second team were only 0.17 behind. They were - Michael Stiell, Rab Beattie and Ken Macleod, winning £3.00 each.

PLEASE NOTE that there is no competition next Thursday due to the Scottish Mixed Pairs Week.

The Quarter Finals of the Senior Pairs Betterball have to be played by Sunday the 16th July, with the Senior Singles due by Sunday 30th July.

Seniors Administration issues

I should stress that the majority of Senior s are exemplary in their actions and etiquette but this was a difficult week for myself to administer. I have sought advice from our Captain and Committee members on the issues faced

Please review your knowledge of the following Club Rules in the Gents Competitions 2023 Fixture Book.

1.13 All players when submitting their cards at the end of competition must ensure that the card is filled in with the following information -

    1. the correct handicap has been entered on the card ( the new printer sticker  covers this when booking in on the Club PSI rather than the mobile app)

    2. the tees that are used are entered on the card

    3. They and the marker have both signed the card.

If NOT the player will be DISQUALIFIED from the competition.
