Grange / Broughty Ferry Away Match and Golf Vouchers

 Hi Seniors.

There are some spaces to fill for the away match at Monifieth to play the Grange and Broughty Ferry Club on Monday 8th May at 09.40.  The sign up sheet is on the Seniors Notice Board or contact Fred Barber. If interested, please sign up asap.

The Club Treasurer has intimated that those who are in possession of golf vouchers, awarded by the club but still unused, are urged to get them spent asap before they become null and void by 30th June 2023.

The Senior Section wishes the Clubs representatives, Norman Dyce and Gavin Greig, all the very best in the Tournament of Champions being played this Sunday, 30th April on the Lansdowne at Blairgowrie.

Results for the Senior Texas Scramble on 27th April 2022

 9 teams competed in cold, damp conditions.

The winning team comprising - Gary McLuskey, Brian Forrest and Neil Rae scored a creditable 59.7. They win £5.75 each.

Runners up with a very close score of 60.1 were - Donald Nairn, Ian Ballantyne and Brian Duncan. They win £2.90 each.

There was no 2's competition.

Thanks for all who turned up. On administration, could Seniors take care in placing their entry monies into the Seniors box and not any other.

Reminder that several entrants for the Senior Singles and Doubles have still to pay theeir £1.00 entry fees for each competition. THIS MUST BE PLAYED PRIOR TO PLAYING.

 Hello Seniors.

I would like to draw to your attention that there is an Individual Stableford competition this Sunday 30th April 2023.

Competitors, female or male, play as individuals through a Mixed Draw and the best Stableford score wins.

Play starts at 10.00am and you can enter through the normal club PSI terminal or on How Did i Do up until Thursday 27th at 12.30pm. Spaces are available.

Senior Single and Pairs Betterball Draws for 2023

The Senior Singles and Pairs Betterball Draws and the competition instructions are now on the Senior Board within the Clubhouse.

It was difficult to administer this as some Seniors did not enter the draws online or on the club computer despite paying their monies and vice versa. 

Outstanding entry fees of £1.00 per Single and Pairs Knockouts are now due before you tee off in your draw or disqualifications will occur. Place monies in an envelope and deposit in the Senior box please.

Only the Senior Singles Draw is available to view on the How Did I Do app. The Senior Pairs Betterball used the computer to generate the pairings but the format now shown on the app is unsuitable to view (as pairings are shown as individual competitors and the draw sequence is wrong)

This is a handicap qualifying Stableford, so just play as normal.

Once all players have signed in and started, there will be a Blind Draw to pair you up with another Senior. The best joint total points score will win.

        HI All Seniors playing in the very enjoyable friendly matches, the cost for this season will be £20 for Home and Away. If you put your name down for Away matches, you MUST be prepared to play in the return games at HOME.

Delayed Result due for todays Opening Stableford - 6th April 2023

Due to technical problems with the Club PSI computer today, we are awaiting three scorecards to be input in order to finalise the results.

I intend to deal with this early tomorrow, close the competition down, post the results and prize monies asap. 

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Administration on the day -

Can I ask that Seniors are considerate of the draw as we had a situation today where a group almost consisted of ONE player. Fortunately the Senior had the wisdom to discuss his predicament and joined another group. Being early in the Season I will overlook this indiscretion but may disqualify anyone playing out with the Draw in future events.

Please also check your handicap before play, agree the correct score and sign both cards as a marker and the player. Again disqualification may be warranted for any indiscretions for omissions on a scorecard.
