UPDATE FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON

 Hello Everyone,

We hope that you are all well and have managed to get through the bad weather and everything else that is going on!!!!.

It is great to see that the golf course has come through the winter with flying colours and Kudos to Scott and his team for an amazing job, with some new drainage and even a new bunker to confound us.

As we are rapidly approaching the start of the golf season proper, we have some new info to tell you about.

1    You can sign up for all Senior competitions on HowdidIDo,  go to the Strathmore Golf site log in and follow the instructions and you can even sign up your mates as well.

2    The first official Seniors day is 25th March, we have opted to change this to a non-counting competition, and there will be an option for sweep and 2's available.

3    We now have a new starters hut at the first Tee, and we will be using this as the sign up and draw area, until restrictions are lifted and we have access to the clubhouse again.

4    We will still be running a draw for the senior competitions and as usual the deadline will be Tuesdays at noon. Draw will be posted on the blog. We encourage you to sign up on-line but a paper facility will still be available for the first little while.   The anticipation for the first competition is that we have 2 balls for the out of area players in the first half hour. Then 3 balls available after that.  With the fervent hope that this will change into 3 ball all throughout very soon.

5    There will be knockout competitions this year and the formats will still be as they were previously.

6    We are still holding out a hope for the interclub competitions, but of course it will all depend on the lifting of restrictions and the availability of catering. We will keep you posted on these as more information comes into us.

On the 25th March, in the non competing competition: Gary, Brian and Mike will be around to answer questions at various points of the morning. Mike will gather the scores from each group at the end of the round.

Thank you all  STAY SAFE and please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions.
