RESULTS FOR THURSDAY'S STABLEFORD

Here are the results for the counting competition on 30th August.
Div 1 -- Winner    S Saunders  35 points.
              Runner up   G Allen   31 points
Div 2 --  Winner   S Morrison   38 points
               Runner up   R Kidd   34 points.
There was only one 2   B Bruce  at the  6th.

PS We need players for the next two home matches--
      On Friday 7th Sep  against  Grange.
      And on Tuesday 11th Sep against Royal Perth.
      Both require teams of 12.
      Both excellent value at £10 for food and highly competitive golf !!

Seniors away day at Elmwood Golf Course

I think a good day was had by all.
Although a tiring golf course it was a very good course.

Winners were

Golfers trophy for best stroke play was Ian Scott
A worthy winner considering his low handicap.
The crystal bowl for best stableford points was Eric Gray.

Nearest to pin on the 9th was Sandy Robertson.
Nearest to pin on second shot par 4 was Jack Rough.
Longest drive was won by Sandy McGibbon.
Only 1 2 was recorded this by Gordon Wood.
Sweep.
1st Division Was won by Ian Scott with 33 points
2nd was Sandy McGibbon with 29 points after a count back.
2nd Division was won by Eric Gray with 30 points
2nd was Ian Strachan with 29 points

Best first 9 was won by Stewart Morrison with 18 points
Best back 9 was won by Ian Strachan

Highest score on a hole was by Andy Fairweather this was a 10.
This was equalled by Eric Gray
Never a good thing to win was the booby prize won by Joe Mcgeoghaneon.

Div 2 --- Winner   K Macleod with 38 points
                Runner up  E Stuart with 34 points
There was two 2's  K Macleod and S McGibbon.
The weather held just long enough for some good scores.

9 teams of 3 took part in Thurday the 2nd Texas scramble.
The winning team with a net 57 was A Fairweather, A Sutherland,I Scott.
Runner up was team J Brand , E Wastell, P Upperton with a net 60 ( by countback ).
4 teams achieved 2s at various holes.
Golf not too bad in the lovely weather.
