The match should have started at 10.00am but was delayed 15 minutes due to Murrayshall starter double booking the tee with hotel guests without advising the Murrayshall Seniors. The intention was in fact to knock us back almost an hour to 10.55 so we should consider ourselves lucky on that count. As it was one of our team who phoned the starter early in the morning was given the 10.55 tee off and turned up after the first two groups had already teed off with yours truly believing we were a man short.
The result was an extremely slow round and frayed tempers. The match itself was won by Murrayshall (5 - 1), reversing exactly the result at Strathmore earlier in the year.
