The weather broke for us on the day and the course, after almost 24 hours of constant rain was in great condition, compliments to the Head Greenkeeper and his staff.
Aberfeldy fielded a reasonably strong team and got off to a flying start with victories in the first two matches but that was the end of their glory with all remaining matches going the way of Strathmore and a well merited 4 - 2 victory.
The final home pairings were as below:

Pairing 2 - David Dawson; Peter Tinker
Pairing 3 - John Brand; Ian Scott
Pairing 4 - John Menzies; Rob Kidd
Pairing 5 George Dolby; Jim Davidson
Pairing 6 - Ian Strachan; Ron Haynes.
