Three Reserves were drafted into the team to meet Arbroath on home territory and 'didn't they do well'?

Match 3 John Menzies and Peter Tinker
Match 4 - Jim Davidson and Ian Strachan
Match 5 - Ernie Wastell and John Brand
Match 6 - Sandy Robertson and David Dawson
On what turned out to be a splendid day for golf Strathmore got the upper hand and evened this year's score with a fine 4:2 victory.
Compliments were received from the visitors on the condition of the course and especially the greens.
