Result :Home Match v Arbroath - Monday 5th July

Home games are always a different ask to the away ties and the matches against Arbroath are no exceptions. Having lost convincinglt 4.5/1.5 in Arbroath we more than turned the tables on our guests at Strathmore with a resounding 5/1 victory on a day when the strong gusting wind was more reminiscent of a links course than an inland course.

George aces the 6th on Thursday 1st July

Congratulations to George Dolby who ACED the 6th hole on Thursday the 1st of July when only a few of our seniors battled the elements on what was a wet and drizzly day.

Next Thursday's Competition

To break the boredom of constantly playing Stableford, next week's competition will be a Greensome.

Results from Thursday 24th June

Ken MacLeod, a late entry, won the Division 1 competition with 41 points from George Allan (36points) who was equal on points with Ian Scott but with a better back 9.

John Brand, with 42 points was the runaway winner in Division 2.

On the 2s competition Ken acLeod shared the winnings with Ian Scott and Jim Dunnett.

Sunset Challenge 27th June

The Sunset Challenge v the Strathmore Gents has been cancelled due to lack of interest.

Thursday's competition will again be a Non Counting Stableford.

It has been proposed that as well as the one pound sweep that we have a 50p entry for 2s. This was apparently introduced last week and was a great success, albeit that no one had a 2 so the prize money from last week rolls forward for all those who enter this week.

A non counting STABLEFORD, the results were:-

1st Division: 38 points Ian Scott was first hotly pursued by Gordon Ewing on 37 points 2nd on a countback from Sandy Robertson and Ernie Wastell

2nd Division: John Brand on 40 points was a clear winner from the rest of the field.
