Hello Seniors.
As promised I give you a run down of the years Senior golf.
Over the 18 weeks of the 2023 / 2024 Winter golf - 455 Seniors played.
During the Summer, 26 weeks, 951 Seniors played.
This equates to 1406 Seniors playing over the year = 31.95 per week on average. This is up on the previous years numbers,
Administration of the competitions has been better this year so keep marking and signing your Scorecards correctly following the R&A rules.
The Seniors banked Entry Fees totalling £1034.00. This was spent on providing the Food £547.00 (Opening / Closing Day- Bacon Rolls and Coffee, the Senior Convenors Day - Pie, Beans and Chips) and £460.00 for Prize Vouchers .
The Championships are decided by Order of Merit points being gained on all Monthly Medal and Trophy Strokeplay competitions. (1st = 10 ponts down to 10th = 1 point).
Senior Scratch Champion - Wm Sinclair 75 points, runner up Mike Stiell on 69 pts.
Senior Handicap Champion - Ian Cameron 25 pts.
Senior Eclectic winners with 57 Nett - Wm. Sinclair and James Falconer. Gary McLuskey and Mike Stiell had 59's
Senior Order of Merit Winner ( most points- 10 to 1- from all Thursday counting events) - James Falconer with 55 pts..
Senior Knockout Singles Winner - Wm. McGregor, Runner Up - Keith Ewan.
Senior Blind Doubles Knockout Winners - Stewart McLaren and Scott McGregor, Runners Up - John Mill and Alan McHattie.
Trophy Winners were-

Nick Farr Scratch - Wm. Sinclair.
Tinker Trophy - Brian Duncan.
Tam Bennett - Colin Crighton.
The Senior Convenors Trophy winners was the team of - Donald Nairn, Brian Forrest and Richard Barker.
