Weather looks OK for the week so on Thursday we should get a Handicap counting Stableford assuming Summer tees and greens are open.

Results for the Senior Gents End of Season Texas Scramble held on Thursday 24th October 2024

Having been fuelled up with Bacon Rolls and Teas / Coffees before the teetimes, the Seniors went on to produce great golf on a fairly wind free, cloudy day.

 

Of the 8 teams - 2 scored Scratch 65's, 2 scored 66's, 1 a 67, 1 a 68, a 70 then the back markers with a 71. The Back Markers had the 2nd joint best back nine of 33 against a 32. Great golf!

1st Team with a Nett 56.65 and winning £5.00 each was 

Sandy Thom, Sandy Clark, Mark Tunstall and Michael Offen.

2nd Team with a Nett 56.7 and winning £3.00 each was -

James Falconer, Donald Nairn, Tom Buckham and Ian Ballantyne.

 

The Nearest the pin on the 6th had Michael Stiell closest winning £10.50 with a near 2nd going to Brian Crighton winning £5.00.

 

The next main event will be the Seniors Turkey Trot when the Senior Trophies, Monthly Medal, Summer Singles, Summer Doubles, Order of Merit, Eclectic and Senior Scatch / Handicap Winners Vouchers will be presented. Keep your eyes open for the details in the near future.

Results for the Senior 4 Club Challenge held on the 10th October 2014

Apologies for the delay in being able to register your results and for myself being able to finalise the competition. We were unfortunately blocked from entering the How Did i Do / Club V1 admin system for a couple of days.

 

With 18 Seniors booking to play and 18 playing in cool, windy conditions, the results are -

Results for the Senior Stableford held on Thursday 3rd October 2024

36 players booked to play and 35 did on a sunny calm day.  One player did not compete in the Sweep or 2's.

Unfortunately, the Greenkeeping Staff changed the course set up for the afternoon players. The AM players played the first 5 holes on Winter greens whilst the PM players played 1, 4, 5, 6, and 7 with the last 3 ball also playing the 18th on Winter greens.

I have therefore decided to complete the competition for the AM players only with the PM players getting a refund of their monies. Sorry.

The competition was non -counting for Handicap purposes due to the course being unmeasured.
