A bright sunny day but noticibly colder when the sun went behing a cloud or when we were in the shade. Icy conditions with odd bounces on the full Winter course. Pity Concession buggies could not go out!!!!

Monies will be in the Office next Thursday as I am away and won't get up to the Centre until then.

Consider your Turkey Trot Menu order as there will be a tick sheet next Thursday to give the Catering Staff some idea of our wishes for the 14th December.

Winter Course

The winter course is now in play. This course does not have a Slope or Course Rating so cannot be used for Qualifying Competitions, General Play or the submission of cards to obtain an initial handicap. Hi Seniors.

It wasn't expected that we would complete the round without the heavy rain. MIRACLE!!!

Feedback showed a bit of confusion regarding playing to Summer greens and not the Winter greens from Winter tees. Handicaps had been cut beforhand to 75% of Summer handicaps and yet we landed up playing to nearly a full distance course.

I looked at the ClubV1 computer and input different scenarios ie. normal 95% handicap index on full Yellow tee course against 75% Winter handicaps over the WinterLeague / Winter tee course (as was set up on the How Did i Do / PSI terminal for todays event)

The outcomes were similar with 5 of the six money winners coming out top in both scenarios. The sixth money winner has had a payment made so as not to discriminate due to the confusion that arose.

We welcomed 4 new Senior members today and the "old boys" will have to pick their socks up as three of the new members have played well enough to take some of the honours. Well done guys.
