Seniors Tinker Trophy competition

The Tinker Trophy was won by Norman Smith with a net 67 well done Norman.
In first division Norman Smith also won the money With Pat Duffy 2nd.
In second division Phil Upperton was 1st, with Ian Mollison second.
We were blessed with a dry round.
Two 2s were recorded one by Eric Gray and Peter Tinker.

Seniors match against Monifieth/Grange

On a very windy day we managed to play this match.
Unfotunately we were blown away and lost 5 to 1.
Only 2 halfs were achieved but hopefully we will get our revenge on the return match at Strathmore.

Seniors competition Thursday 19th May

Competition was a Stableford/h/c count.

In division 1 Ernie Wastell was 1st with 38 points
Gordon Wood was 2nd with 36 points
Beating Ian Scott, Ian Strachan, sandy McGibbon on a count back all having 36 points.

In division 2 John Brand won with 40 points
Gilmour Ivey was 2nd with 35 points

There were 2 players with a 2 Alex Sutherland on the 17th.
Sandy McGibbon on the 6th.

Im sorry to see that very slow play was again experienced by the last group being held up with the 2nd last group and I hope this will not put them off in future competitions.
We will try to make sure that this will not happen again.

Seniors competition Thursday 12th May results

We had 23 played today 21 in the competition and 2 still playing for their handicap.
Again fortunately apart from strong winds we mostly had a dry round.
1st division was won by Ken MacLeod on a count back which had to go as far back as the first 3 holes, both had 39 points.
2nd was Ian Scott having lost out to Ken.

2nd division was won by Ron Haynes with 39 points,
2nd was John Brand with 37 points
the 2s were won by John Brand on the 6th hole.

Result match against Arbroath away

We managed a dry round of golf but as usual the wind blew about half way round.
Unfotunately we lost heavely 5 to 1
Congradulations to the 2 teams that managed to get a half.
Our revenge will be at Strathmore.

In this division Eric Gray had the best gross of 87 net 61.

Eric Gray is now a 23 handicap
N Smith Is now a 15 handicap

No 2s were recorded. we will roll this over to the next competition.
