Seniors results for Thursday 31st March

Unfotunately only 12 players turned up, as the weather looked against playing today.
However 12 seniors did play but the competition was cancelled due to the first green being unplayable.
We did fortunately get almost a complete dry round, Well done to the dedicated seniors that turned up and played.

Results for seniors Thursday 24th March

19 players played today
Robert Adams and John Allan joined us today and played for their handicap.
Congradulations to our captain Eric Gray for winning today with 46 points.
Ian Strachan was 2nd with 40 points.
Ian also was the only player to achieve a 2 on the 4th hole.
Weather was again very good and good golf should have been achieved.

Seniors first medal of the season on the 7th April.
By popular demand we will start the first medal off yellow tees and I hope this will encourage more to play in the medal.
This is an experiment to see if more will be encouraged to play.
If it fails we will go back to playing off white tees once a month.

Seniors Results for 17th March

14 players turned out to play although the weather looked doutfull to start, however it cleared up very nicely and conditions were good for play.
Gordon Ewen joined us but had to retire due to various aches, jim Davidson Called off due to seeing the dentist,Garry Stewart called of due to the weather first thing this morning.
Well done Alex Sutherland who won today with 37 points, second was Ian Strachan with 36 points.
Only 1 2 was recorder and that was Phil Upperton, well done on your first day out.

11 players braved the strong winds.
John Brand won with 29 points
Ernie Wastell was 2nd with 28 points after a count back on the back 9 beating Ian Scott who also had a 28
9 players finished the 18 holes
Unfortunately Len Scott had to retire as did Alex Sutherland.John Allan joined us again and as soon as possible we will get him a handicap.

18 players played today.

Ernie Wastell won with 40 points and also for a 2 .
Ernie is obviously taken advantage of not having any responsibility this season.
2nd was Ken MacLeod with 39 points.
I think it was a good day, conditions perfect for good golf although it did not help every ones golf.
