Result from home match v Alyth Friday 16 July
On the whole the weather held up for this match on a gusty but relatively dry Friday afternoon.
Following on from our first away victory against Alyth in April the team was confident of not letting the advantage slip at home and the emphatic 4.5/1.5 victory confirmed that determination.
Congratulations to all who took part and again many thanks to the centre's catering staff and the greenkeepers who are making Strathmore the away fixture that all of our opponents are keen to play.
The teams were:
Match 1 Ernie Wastell & Peter Tinker
Match 2 Sandy Robertson & George Allan
Match 3 Ian Scott & Alex Sutherland
Match 4 Bob Greig & Alistair Donaldson
Match 5 Ian Strachan & Eric Gray
Match 6 Ken MacLeod & David Robinson

Home games are always a different ask to the away ties and the matches against Arbroath are no exceptions. Having lost convincinglt 4.5/1.5 in Arbroath we more than turned the tables on our guests at Strathmore with a resounding 5/1 victory on a day when the strong gusting wind was more reminiscent of a links course than an inland course.

Ian Scott
John Brand
Ernie Wastell
Gilmour Ivey
Ian Strachan
