The last Seniors' event from the Summer Tees was a non counting Stableford for which the tee times were:-
9.00 John Brand; George Allan; Ron Haynes
9.07 Brian Ruffhead; Ernie Wastell; Jim Davidson
9.15 Tam Bennet; Pat Duffy; Len Scott
9.22 Rob Kidd; Gordon Ewen; John Barr;Eric Gray
Conditions were benign for most of the round with a blue sky and no wind to talk about, ideal for golf and obviously appealing to Pat Duffy, who for the second week in a row came in ahead of the field, this time with 40 points. Ron Haynes was second on 38 points and John Brand third on 37 points.
Well done lads

results from Thursday 22nd October
With Greens 1 and 5 closed this round was reclassified as non counting.
Despite the heavy going under foot superb performances were put in by Pat Duffy (41points), Jack Rough (39points) and John MacFarlane (38points), unfortunately boys the closure of these two greens and in particular the first robs you of the handicap improvements your efforts deserved.
This basically closes the season for another year although we have one last Stableford (non counting) off the Summer tees on the 29th of this month before we move over to the winter course.
Tee times for what should have been the last counting competition of the season were:-
9.00 Ernie Wastell; Alex Sutherland; John Brand
9.07 Gilmour Ivey; Jim Ross; Graham Bullock
9.15 Ian Scott; Pat Duffy; Tam Bennett
9.22 Jim Davidson; Ron Haynes; Jack Rough
9.30 John MacFarlane; Brian Ruffhead; Jim Donnelly
9.37 Rob Kidd played with Gordon Ewen, John Barr and Mel Kidd, all three outside the competition.

Results from Thursday 8th October
On a fine, but at some times chilly day for golf scores were not as we would have hoped. The greens had been tined earlier in the week and some top dressed which may have made putting a little more difficult but some golfers managed, so no excuses there.
Jeff Lonsdale won the competition with 37 points ahead of a three way battle for second on 36 points. Jack Rough took it on a count back from John MacFarlane and Ron Haynes with George Allan and John Brand two strokes further back.
Jim Davidson merits mention in that he parred all 4 of the par 3s. Well done Jim.
A good turn out with 25 golfers on the day, here's hoping for a flurry to boost our stats in the last 3 summer competitions in October.
Tee times were as below;
9.00 Graeme Hunter; Ian Mollison; George Allan
9.07 Ian Scott; Jeff Lonsdale; Ron Haynes
9.15 Pat Duffy; Brian Groom; John Brand
9.22 Jim Davidson; Graham Bullock; Ernie Wastell
9.30 Garry Stewart; Alex Sutherland; Archie Mitchell
9.37 Ian Strachan; Gilmour Ivey; Harry Driscoll
9.45 John Barr; John MacFarlane; Len Scott
9.52 Jack Rough; Brian Moore; Malcolm Stewart; Dave Kerr
