Senior Gents v Ladies

Senior Gents victorious with a 5 and a half to 2 and a half win over the Ladies.

Mixed fortunes for all on a reasonable day. A lady, who shall remain nameless was seen entering the burn at the 6th with her trousers rolled up to rescue her straying electric golfcart, she was the only person to get WET. However she and her partner went on to win their match.

Well done Cathy.

A round of fresh sandwiches rounded off a good day.

Jim Davidson took first place with 37 points on a count back from Graeme Hunter with Gordon Ewen third on 36 points.

It was a wet and at times, a blustery day but surprisingly warm.

As per last year there will be a Double Stableford team competition (best 2 stableford points scores on each hole from each group for which there will be a sweep of GBP1.00 per head. Winners take all. The groupings have been arranged to incorporate a low, medium and high handicap player in each.

There will also be a prize for Lowest Gross ( Mollison Trophy); and Highest Individual Stableford Points( the Mike Dower Trophy).

Allow yourselves at least 45 minutes before your tee off time for your Roll and Coffee/Tea.

I hope that we can all sit down around about 4.00pm for the meal after the round.

August Medal Results

On a perfect day for golf Ian Scott took full advantage and had a gross 75, net 66 to win the medal by a significant margin. David Dawson was the best of the rest with a net 70 with Patt Duffy and Garry Stewart a further 1 and 2 shots behind respectively.

Well played boys and Ian, enjoy your new 7.8 handicap.
