Winter Knockouts

Gentlemen, we are going to try Senior Doubles and Singles Knockouts during the winter period beginning November, 2008. A sheet will be posted for entries and subsequent draw rules, etc., to be posted thereafter, depending on the number of entries. Partners will be drawn for the doubles.

We will go to any lengths to keep you out of trouble during the winter, by keeping you busy on the golf course.

Reasult from Thursday 23rd October

Weather not as bad as forecast but only Ron and Ian braved the conditions, for 12 holes. Ron ended his drought by beating Ian on the day although both were disqualified for not completing the round.

A decent turn-out for this event in good conditions but not high-scoring. The day was won by Jim Davidson with 37 pts and 2nd was Ian Scott with 36pts who won on count-back from John MacFarlane.

John hopes to try a Texas Scramble on the 16th., October 2008.

It's a wee while since we have heard from the English seniors in the prize money stakes. Ron Haynes a regular tour winner and money leader has been awfully quiet lately. This is ominous.

Remember to enter the Winter League Trophy competition which starts November till March, 2009. Your best 10 cards over that period counts from 2 cards a week. See board for Competition rules.It only costs a £1. Entries must be in before the start of November or your out.
