Senior Inter Club Matches

The Seniors team went to Arbroath on Monday the 22nd April and narrowly lost 3.5 to 2.5. The team was hampered by the absence of a Senior who failed to turn up without prior notification. This denied the opportunity for a Reserve to be called up to play.

The next game is Away (11.50am) to Grange and Broughty Ferry on Monday 6th May and further names are required for this match, so sign up on the Seniors Notice Board in the Centre.

There is also spare places available for the Home match (11.30am) against Forfar on Monday 20th May.

 

Again Sign Up on the Senior Notice Board to play different courses against fellow Seniors for the cost of £20 cash on the day, which pays for golf, bacon rolls and coffee followed at the end of the match with a two course meal. Great value when you consider it can be Home and Away matches for £40.00

Results for the Senior Texas Scramble held on Thursday 25th April 2024

39 players booked to play and 38 did on a sunny day with a bitterly cold wind.

Scoring was very good with gross scores ranging from 66 to 78. Nett scores from 58ish to 68ish.

1st - Nett 58.25 the team Of Rab Beattie, Brian Duncan, Brian Forrest and John Stewart winning £5.00 each

2nd - Nett 58.94 - Brian Milne, Sandy Clark and Sandy Thom £3.00 each

3rd - Nett 59.19 - Colin Crighton, Donald Nairn, Stephen Saunders, Neil Rae £2.00 each

Senior Singles and Blind Doubles Knockout Draws.

Seniors - attached are the draws for the Knockouts. These will be placed on the Seniors Notice Board, where the procedure to organise matches are explained. Happy golfing and best of luck.

 

Those still to pay entry fees (due by 14th April) HAVE to pay before they play or will be disqualified and their opponents given byes. Seniors should read the Rules regarding competitions, which are within the Fixture book provided when they join the Club. Notices have also been on the Seniors Notice Board detailing the actions required to enter these competitions. 

Preliminary results for the Senior April Medal 18/4/2024

 Lunchtime scorecards have still to be checked so results are preliminary.

56 players booked to play and 46 did. The initial rain went off and most Seniors played in dry weather with little wind until later in the round.

Unfortunately, I have had to disqualify one Senior for failure to sign the scorecard.

Division One - 12 players

1st - an excellent 66 was John Mill winning £6.00

2nd - 69 Bih James Falconer (pending) £4.00

Division Two - 18 players

1st - 68 Bih Fred Barber £9.00

1st - another excellent 66 - John Stiell £8.00

Two's Competition - 3 were scored winning £7.65 each +5p carried over.

Quite a large amount of entry monies are still due for these Knockout competions. Monies should have been paid by the close date of 14th April 2024. PLEASE pay your entry fees ASAP.

These competitions should not be confused with the Gents Section Summer Knockouts.
