Senior Gents Thursday 22nd December

With only 10 holes - 3 to 9, 16, 17 and 18 open for play on the winter course, No stableford competition was held.

5 worthy Seniors did venture out to play in the cold frosty conditions - Well Done.

Hopefully get better conditions next Thursday?

 Weather permitting - here is the draw for Thursday.

Senior Turkey Trot Xmas Lunch 15th December 2022

 Despite the freezing weather putting paid to any golf, 27 Seniors attended the Turkey Trot Xmas Lunch.

A short golf quiz resulted in Mr Brian Duncan winning the £30.00 Butchers voucher and a bottle of wine.

4 others were joint 2nd in the quiz and had a "Putt Off" to decide who would win one of three bottles of wine originally meant for "nearest the pin" prizes.

Paul Lothian, Gavin Hyslop and Gary McLuskey overcame Chris Upton to win a bottle despite Chris hitting the side of the "hole" with all his putts.

Many thanks to the Centre staff for the fast, efficient service and the quality of the food was excellent. Happy Seniors at the end of the day.

We will attempt to play on the last two Thursday's of the year, weather permitting.

Seniors Turkey Trot Update 15th December 2022

Strathmore golf course is closed again today, so no golf at all this week.

The Xmas lunch will still go ahead with service at 13.30pm. Come early to celebrate Xmas with your golfing buddies.

Golf prizes still to be won, comprising £30 Butchers voucher and wine through short fun golf quiz and "putt off", if required.
