As Strathmore was closed this morning due to a PGA Scotland event, a few of our senior members played at Alyth on the Glenisla course. The weather stayed fair and it was good to see new members to the club joining in.

The Seniors Section today welcomed Royal Montrose to Strathmore for our annual fixture.
The weather was kind and the course was in great shape. All players, both home and away, enjoyed the golf, the friendly banter and of course the good food to round off the day.
The final result was a win for Strathmore 4-2.
Our next match is away to Alyth on Monday 4th August. Meet 11:00, first tee time 1200. Team sheet is on the Notice Board. We then have a home match against Grange and Broughty on Friday 15th. Please add your name to the sign up sheet on the notice board if you are available to play.
The centre hosts a Senior Pairs Open on Friday 8th August. Volunteers are required to run this event which generates money for our club funds. Please add your name to the volunteer rota on the mixed notice board if you are available.

Strathmore is closed for the morning of Thursday 31st due to the PGA Scotland Order of Merit Competition. It was suggested following last Thursdays Seniors Competition that an outing could be arranged to Glenisla for those who wanted to play in the morning.
Tee times have been provisionally booked at Glenisla from 09:30. The cost for this would be £20 per player for which a £10 deposit is required to secure a place. The deposit and booking has to be confirmed by Friday 25th.
If you wish to play, add your name to the list on the notice board and place your deposit in an envelope in the Seniors box adjacent to the PSI in the Clubhouse. Alternatively contact Brian Milne on 07933 103631.
Today Strathmore Seniors welcomed Arbroath Artisans to Strathmore.
Despite the prolonged and heavy rain throughout the weekend the course was in good shape. Well done to the Green-keeping Team.
Seeking revenge for our “thrashing” at Arbroath earlier in the season, Strathmore won the game 4-1/2 to 1-1/2.
Next game is at home against Montrose on Monday 28th. Players are still required for this match. Please add your name to the sign up sheet on the notice board if you are available to play. Following on from this we have an away game against Alyth on Monday 4th August and a home match against Grange & Broughty Friday 15th August. Again, sign up sheets are on the notice board.
